To add a new member Category go to 

**Members - Select Boxes - Member Categories**

Go to "New"

Enter the Member Category (not too long) and the member category description.

After saving the new member category, edit the record to add more details,

eg. if member subscriptions are less than 12 months,say a 3 month membership change the expiry period to 3 months, or whether this category is included in the new member signup form (set Exclude = 'No'). 
Important! Leave return period = 0, unless you want different member types to have different loan periods.
The max number of toys a member is allowed to borrow is in the #toys setting, most toy libraries allow a max of 4 toys per loan period. If you have plenty of toys, then set this to a higher value to prevent over use of the override function.
