Bulk SMS
NOTE: Unlike bulk emails, Bulk SMS message are not free, they cost around 7cent a message. Keep your messages to 160char, otherwise they will charge you for 2 SMS messages.
Setup
To use the bulk SMS function in mibase, you need to setup an SMSGlobal account. We have an API in Mibase that connects with this service. Unfortunately, there is a charge of 7 cents per message.
There is an introductory offer in smsglobal so you can try it out for free.
Setting up SMSGlobal
Signup and login to SMSGlobal
From the left Hand side menu - go to API & Integration
Take a note of the username and password of the API Key
Go to Settings - SMS Settings
If you would like your members to know where the SMS is from (the Toy Library), then add a keyword and or type in the Toy Library mobile phone number. You can also re-direct to an email address. This is where to setup it up. If you use a “Custom Word” then this needs to be recorded in mibase.
Setting Up Mibase for Bulk SMS messages
Logged in as Admin, go to Home - My Setup
Select New
Enter SMS setup details from SMSGlobal settings
